Your mooCommunity and Marketing strategy

So I would like to use this topic for sharing ideas on how you guys and girls manage your marketing strategy in relation to your mooCommunity. Did you setup a new community or you had already a community and switched to mooSocial? So, how you gonna promote this or how do you currently promote this?
 
Your marketing plan of course depends on your target audience (national or international website).
 
In my case I run an Adult social network related to residents of my country only, so I don't advertise on global websites.
Currently I have promotions running on three different websites (classifieds), the last year I gathered around 800 new members so I'm quite satisfied as I started from scratch.
 
My spirit is running a community with real members, because there are too much sites with fake profiles etc. Starting from scratch with only a small budget needs time for your community to grow, with that in mind I can live with that. Also due to the fact that I can spend my time to knowing mooSocial, configuring the server(s) and very important, try to setup marketing campaigns.
 
I really like to hear from everybody their marketing strategy ideas or experiences, maybe we can learn from each other cool

How are you finding the mooscial platform?

I'm going just a little bit off topic, apologise, but ketkew regarding 2.5.1 version could you confirm that facebook patch works even with this version? Or you haven't facebook login for your platform? I'am a little scared to try the patch on live platform and now I'm trying to get a twin development platform for testing. Thanks

We got a great SEO expert who did an audit on the MooSocial system we use.

Overall feedback on the MooSocial system was very positive. But there are a few bang of the buck improvements he recommend we talk to MooSocial to get it in place:

1) Implement breadcrumb, making it even easier for people to navigate.
2) remove / in URL. So for example show https://www.xyz.com/home not https://www.xyz.com/home/
3) improve the Share function. Make a lot more easier to share. This can greatly improve SE...  more

This is what he said later to us to pass on to MooSocial. 2 things can give big boost to SEO and MooSocial's competitiveness:

1) Breadcrumb.
2) Take another look at Share -Sign up process. Make it a) easy to share. (reduce the number of clicks it takes) 2) make shared content easy to view. 3) make it easy for other people to sign up. And make this happen to both desktop and mobile.
