Realistically, most of mooSocial sites will never have more than a couple (3- 5) of languages available. It would be feasible to list these out for all users to chose than to have individual users to add and remove any language packs of their choice. Something you would see at the footer for example: "English . Spanish . Portuguese ..." It would be more economical and feasible for us to do given all other important features.

I think that the idea of the direct link in the footer is good, we click on the link and hop the site reload with the new language, simple and practical, and it takes less space than a block
