Would be a great improvement for admins to have notifications of plugin / core updates show up in the admin dashboard (like Wordpress does). Hope to see this happen someday.

This feature often requires call back to our server to check if there is a new update. Not sure if everyone will be comfortable with that.

Maybe have the ability to enable/disable call back for those who may not want it? Or simply a button in dashboard or plugins manager to manually check for updates.

Or if the server callbacks are not the route you want to go, maybe we could sign up for e-mail alerts when an item we have purchased receives an update?

Essentially, just about anything will work. Currently we are stuck with having to check and search around here on this site, or check our add-ons downloads page and our plugins manager page, each one by one to see if we have the latest version.
