I have followed step by step as best as I can with what limited instructions is provided with mooSocial concerning Amazon S3 setup.
I get success messages that I've correctly setup S3 in mooSocial. We have a new site that is not yet open to the public as we are obviously trying to get this to work.
I can manually paste the wget link recommended in backend of moosocial and see that it runs successfully but still no AWS transfer.
I have no way to clear the progress and to try it again. Tried clearing cache and that didn't work.
I can only assume this is a technical bug. Please help with this.
And if this is not a tech bug but a problem with my setup then please please please help us with making more clear and better documentation step by step. Easy and clear to follow. But according to mooSocial backend it says everything is hooked up to my bucket and it should transfer. Thank you.

I have CNAME checked and in the box where the URL goes I put https://aws.mydomain.com -- does the https:// need to be in that box? mooSocial needs better instructions on S3 setup Mark? Can you get your team to do this

That does not work due to the fact that s3 does not support ssl certificates from your own domain. Therefore point it to your cloudfront domain and you need to manage (upload) your ssl certificate in the cloudfront manager
Ketkew. So if my cdn is cdn.mydomain.com then I put that in the S3 URL box ? And I do not put https://cdn.mydomain.com in the box? Sorry for the questions... truly appreciate your help

you should put https://cdn.mydomain.com but be sure that the link actually works..

Got it working! I did not know I was supposed to add the "alternate domain name" as a CNAME in setup at Amazon. There's a lot of data to check off but I finally got it.
What is the difference between Aws Task Transfer and Aws Task in the task manager? The Aws Task Transfer shows "x" but no failures. I can re-enable Aws Task Transfer but it goes back to "x". The cloudfront and s3 is working though.
Files are uploaded before you enable Aws refers to task differences . Notice that when you enable Amazon S3 , the file is uploaded to your site will be pushed to Aws and we mark it as Aws Task . However , for pushing the file is uploaded your site before you active Amazon S3 , you must transfer it , so we mark it as Aws Task Tranfer . The Aws Task Tranfers has the priority lower than Aws Task , it means that you must wait Aws task done then aws task trasnfer will be processed . In case you st...  more
