I'm not sure, but I think FB does have possibly a bigger dev team.. (250 as I can find on google)

All members can download their data, even the Administrators, 8 hours ago I have applied to download my data as Administrator, and I still see the message, Your file is being processed.

In my website the cron job is there, my problem was the large amount of data that was 1.48GB and it was the reason that it took a long time to gather, eventually downloaded it to my computer
