About Admin setting "Only get short desciption" and this "If member cliks on the title of the news on your site etc .."

Clicking on the title of the news does not open a new page in the browser, how to fix this please?
And for the news created in the activity feed also, how to make it open a new window?
Which file do I need to look at to change this please? Thank you

Are there any PHP extensions needed to run this please? I had LiveNews working on the site but after the Hosting company ported it to allow for an update, the rest of the site works but the Live News has stopped. I don't just mean the chronjob, I mea even if I manually press "Get News", there is never anything to see.

Mark and the Team are now on a New Lunar Year Holiday and if I can get it going rather than wait a week, it would be good. AsI paid for the plugins to be installed, I am not sure ... more

It's all sorted now - other than possibly needing the chron job adjusted so it activates twice per hour please.

If it helps you or others, the change involved was this (comments by hosting team)

The issue was the getPageInformation function, a curl wrapper function. The transformation was stripping the URL schema protocol and then curl could not resolve and fetch the data from the page.

Allow members to post Live News

Hi all, Hum I do not know if this is possible but it would be nice if a site member read a news item on another site that it can share in the Live News just by posting the news feeds in a category
