Add new wiki information (developer section): How to use notifications

I'm currently developing my own plugin and try to learn and understand CakePHP.

I have found useful information about how to create a task and using the mailsystem.

Now I want to use the notification system once an action has been finalized (which is monitored by the task system).

Could someone share how you can use the notification system? (and adding it into the mooWiki so that everyone can use that information?)
