Banning members in Groups

Is there a way to ban a member from joining a public Group? I know you can remove them but can't see an option to ban them

Unfortunately, there is no such option as many other options that would be quite useful to the Administrators
 
You should set a new user role, and forbid him to join groups

thats the conclusion i came up with but wasnt sure.

Think in Groups, moderators/administrators of the groups should have that ability.
