moosocial 3.1.4 and Whats New Feed

Is there a way to make the whats new feed "Read Only" on the home page.

I would like to disable the ability to create a "Whats New" topic on the home page.

I would also like to disable comments on the "Whats New" feed on the home page.

Can this be done easily by telling me /path/to/file linenumber to edit/replace code.

Have to change a lot of files, please submit a custom development.

Will you do the same for groups and event details page? it also has the timeline inside.
