Virtual Gift has a lot of potential.
Think about two user cases:
1) anyone joining a group will get a virtual gift from the group admin.
2) online training is one of the hottest areas for small biz entrepreneurs. What if a small business, a trainer of a special subject could send out training videos as virtual gifts as a reward to those who are showing interest?
There are a few things current virtual gift might consider:
1) Allow embedding Soundcloud URL
2) All embedding YouTube and Vimeo URL for video.
3) consider including coupon in the future.
This is something FB is not focusing on. Yet, this is something that could have a lot of potential.
