The installation file describes this

5. Please go to Admin Dashboard -> System Settings -> Features -> Uncheck option "Allow invite friend to join site" to hide invite friends option from core, it means that members can only invite friends using invite friend feature from friend inviter plugin

Is there a reason why this should be done?
