JPG Extention upload problem

I'm running Moosocial 3.0.2 and having problems with members uploading photos..

Any photo with a uppercase .JPG file extension fails to post...

Upload is successful.

Saves the file.

however a blank thumbnail is displayed.

If you click on the blank thumbnail it tries to display an image but load indicator just keeps spinning and nothing is displayed.

But if I change the file extention from uppercase .JPG to lowercase .jpg all works well..

Is there a setting somewhere that I can modify or change some code to allow members to upload non-case sensitive jpg's?

The issue has been fixed at the latest version 3.1.4, can you please upgrade?
If you can't upgrade, please contact us, we will help you hot fix that issue.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
This software is being used by a customer who is part of a club.
They have to vote to allocate funds for an upgrade, so that will take about a month..
Till then, is the hot fix something you can direct me thru by find file/line/cut/paste code to fix the bug?
