It's really better users to see this message in green background on every page until they confirm mail!!! Please do never remove this feature, it really works! Now I have better registered/confirmed % rate!!!
You can just add additional sentence to say users to check SPAM folder too.
Also would be good if there is a buttons with "Resend confirmation email"
