It would be of great help if member notifications worked in several other areas throughout the software. Notifications if someone posts in a group you are a member of, notifications for post you have commented on when someone comments, etc. Right now it seems that we only get notifications if #1 we are group owners and we have a request or get a group post or #2 if some one comments on our individual post. It would be nice to get notifications for more subtle things. I have often scrolled through the news feed to find that someone has posted a comment on a post that I also commented on and I was not aware they did in fact post. This may sound confusing, it is hard to explain.
